The powerful Castle Taufers was in the origin from the dynasty of the sirs of Taufers with impressive and interesting defence plants. The plant was extended to a spacious living castle in the 15th and 16th centuries.
Taufers is in the possession of the South Tyrolean castle institute since 1977. The castle furnished completely and got very well belongs the complete Tyrolean room to the great and beautiful. About two dozen are panelled by the 64 rooms of the castle.
Of excellent value the frescos are worth Friedrich Pachers in the castle chapel from the school.
The royal rooms, the large library, the courtroom, the so-called wandering like a ghost room, the dungeon, the armoury and the many tiled stoves are particularly remarkable.
