General description:... a little jewel in the heart of the Ahrntal valley... In Prettau/Predoi in the Ahrntal valley copper was mined for more than half a century. The administrative center was located in Steinhaus/Cadipietra. Today you will find the South Tyrol Museum of Mining - location Steinhaus/Cadipietra.
Precious wooden models of mining equipment, paintings and artistically decorated mine maps, books, documents and finds from the mine bring the history of mining in the Ahrntal valley to life once again.
